This year marks the 57th year since the GHS Class of 69 graduated from high school. During the 56th class reunion held last October, we had a class meeting near the end of the reunion and took a vote to see if the class wanted to have another reunion in 2026. The vote was an overwhelming YES of all present, so here we are once again.
The Reunion Planning Committee met on April 11, 2026, and reviewed the plans for the reunion rescheduled at Airy Knob for September 18 & 19, 2026. We'll keep your posted!
The GHS Class of 69 Reunion, scheduled for September 18 and 19 2026, will once again take place at Airy Knob Farm which can be found on the Airy Knob website. Nestled within 92 acres of rolling hills and serene farmland, Airy Knob Farm serves as a spacious and upscale countryside retreat, featuring four bedrooms and six or seven bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 16 guests.
This home boasts panoramic views from almost every room, and its layout is exceptionally accessible, with a private elevator connecting the garage to all floors. Guests can explore wooded trails, gather fresh eggs from the on-site chickens, or savor honey harvested from the farm's own beehives, all while enjoying eco-friendly features like solar panels and hydroponic gardens.
Outdoor amenities enhance the tranquil rural atmosphere, including a fishing and swimming pond (note: not a pool), a firepit, an outdoor dining area complete with a fireplace, a kid-friendly playhouse new --new in 2026--an actual train car that has been moved and is in the process of being restored for our viewing pleasure!
A fully equipped indoor gym ensures that fitness remains a priority, while fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, laundry facilities, and ample parking make this an ideal choice for large family reunions, retreats, or special events. For those interested in attending, class reunion registration details will be available soon.
The GHS Class of 69 reunion details include a wide variety of food and drinks available throughout the two-day event, all set in the spacious gourmet kitchen in the main room. From gourmet burgers to homemade pie, there's something for everyone at the reunion, so don't forget to complete your class reunion registration (to be sent later on this summer) to join in the fun!
The RPC will send out the class reunion registration forms via snail mail later on this spring. The form will allow class members to RSVP and send payments to the committee.
Now is a good time to remind everyone to write the check to "GHS Class of 69".
